Different Blessings

I had FB call yesterday in BKK before flying home with a relative and that reminds me of my parents especially my father.  Wherever I go, whoever I am, whatever I do, at some point, I got to meet someone who knew him and they are not younger than 65.  Those who knew him talked about him and always telling me how blessed I am to have such a father and yes, it was indeed. I never thought I would become an orphan at the age of 34 looking at my other relatives who are decades older than me and still living, still going to church and still having some debates with their parents.  My father passed away while I was 20 and 14 years later my mother died in our home in Toungoo.  Last month, I was in downtown and at the corner of Anawrahta Road and 34th Street,  I saw a teenage boy and his mother walking and suddenly it was a moment when I first came back to Yangon after high school 18 years ago holding my mother's hand.  I never thought I would lose them all after ...

My quiet Saturday with Pu Tu Tu Lay

Image
This weekend, there has been 3 invitations card inviting me for workshops.  I decided not to go to any of them lately because I feel quite exhausted and sleepy.  I have been away from my works for the whole week as I my HbA1C level is so high and I could not read properly.  My doctor reminded me that I could get paralysed if not treated well and rest. All my other blood test came back in good condition but the sugar level is still not under control; maybe my eating habits play a huge role in this too.  I rest well and will continue to rest another week.  What a holiday but bare-food.  But I do not need to worry that much my partner Pu Tu Tu Lay arranges all my meals and this afternoon my lunch is fruitful as you can see in the picture; beef curry, stir-fried asparagus and cucumber salad with prawns followed by Mission Impossible - Rouge Nation. And this evening, we went out together to have together-weekend-dinner.  We reward ourselves with Thai f...

Archiving A Burmese Gay's Testimony for Puppylay

I started writing a blog in 2009 after meeting a friend in the beginning of 2008 while I was working in Thailand.  I wrote mostly about me, and that of my family background.  I got a boyfriend at the end of 2009 while I was in Mae Sot.  I called him Puppy Lay!  I loved him so much and he loved me too.  In December 2011, I decided to dedicate this blog for him and started writing about me.  I mostly wrote this blog in English but at that time, he could not read a single word in English.  I was then trusted in him that he will surely be able to read this log one day and he will then learn how I have been loving him and how I wanted him to be.  I also did believe that people would know more about me when they read it.  They would learn about my encounters as a gay, well very effeminate gay at that time. I named this blog, "A Burmese Gay's Testimony" with a domain name www.puppylay.net. Puppylay was honest, kind and understanding and younger ...

Review of my 2015

2015 has been a year with a lot of changes to my life. 2015 has consoled and assured me that a lot of things I have been worrying are just what I could overcome easily.  I started wearing clothes of opposite sex from April 2014 and in 2015 I decided to permanently be a transgender.  Being transvestite for more than 2 years will categorise me as mentally deficient under the WHO ICD but then everyone knows about the Transgender that they are not.  I just realised a moment while I was working with UNICEF and wearing like a woman and a delegation from the ministry of defence looked stunned at me and a colonel from the Military Records Office shouted let's say hello to Lady Diana! and broke the silence and everyone laughed. 2015 made me found out my hidden potential and confidence within my inner self.  Most of the time, I am an easy going and childish person but I started to act in more elegant and diplomatic style. 2015 let me be part of the historic election in ...
